Payroll & Compliance Coordinator - Commercial Construction
A well-established, family-owned commercial contractor is seeking a Payroll & Compliance Coordinator to support weekly union payroll, certified payroll reporting, onboarding, and workforce compliance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly union payroll for 50–100 field employees across multiple active projects
- Manage certified payroll reporting (IDOL, WH-347, LCP Tracker)
- Process new hire onboarding, I-9 verification, E-Verify, and union verification
- Maintain payroll records, employee files, garnishments, child support, and deductions
- Prepare payroll checks, tax payments, and payroll reporting
- Complete monthly union fringe and dues reporting
- Assist with workers’ compensation administration and OSHA documentation
- Track work authorization expirations and maintain compliance records
- Support diversity, residency, and apprentice compliance reporting when required
- Cross-train in accounts payable and provide administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience with union payroll and certified payroll reporting required
- Knowledge of USDOL, IDOL, E-Verify, and union reporting procedures
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Highly organized with strong communication and grammar skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Construction industry experience preferred
