Senior Paralegal - Southern California


A leading real estate and property management firm is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join its in-house legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role offers broad exposure across corporate governance, real estate transactions, litigation, and employment matters.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain corporate records, entity filings, and minute books
  • Prepare written consents, resolutions, and governance documentation
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, LLC, and partnership requirements
  • Support entity structuring and ownership transfers
  • Assist with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, leases, and due diligence
  • Partner with outside counsel on litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters
  • Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production
  • Assist in drafting and revising responses to subpoenas and discovery requests
  • Draft and update employee agreements and HR-related documentation
  • Support labor law compliance audits
  • Assist in developing SOPs and employee acknowledgment materials
  • Draft, review, and redline contracts, leases, and legal correspondence
  • Track permits, licenses, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Monitor legal and regulatory updates and provide summaries
  • Conduct legal research and support ad hoc projects
  • Manage legal calendars, deadlines, and workflows
  • Organize and maintain legal files and SharePoint systems
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare materials
  • Track legal spend and assist with invoice review
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the legal function


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within a large law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong background in corporate governance (corporations, LLCs, partnerships)
  • Experience with California legal requirements
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to employment law is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and collaboration tools
  • Strong legal research capabilities
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
