Senior Paralegal - Southern California
A leading real estate and property management firm is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join its in-house legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role offers broad exposure across corporate governance, real estate transactions, litigation, and employment matters.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain corporate records, entity filings, and minute books
- Prepare written consents, resolutions, and governance documentation
- Ensure compliance with corporate, LLC, and partnership requirements
- Support entity structuring and ownership transfers
- Assist with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, leases, and due diligence
- Partner with outside counsel on litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters
- Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production
- Assist in drafting and revising responses to subpoenas and discovery requests
- Draft and update employee agreements and HR-related documentation
- Support labor law compliance audits
- Assist in developing SOPs and employee acknowledgment materials
- Draft, review, and redline contracts, leases, and legal correspondence
- Track permits, licenses, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Monitor legal and regulatory updates and provide summaries
- Conduct legal research and support ad hoc projects
- Manage legal calendars, deadlines, and workflows
- Organize and maintain legal files and SharePoint systems
- Coordinate meetings and prepare materials
- Track legal spend and assist with invoice review
- Support process improvement initiatives within the legal function
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within a large law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong background in corporate governance (corporations, LLCs, partnerships)
- Experience with California legal requirements
- Litigation experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to employment law is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and collaboration tools
- Strong legal research capabilities
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
