Senior Accountant – Single Family Office


We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well-established single family office supporting a diverse portfolio of investments, real estate holdings, trusts, and affiliated entities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a high-touch, multi-entity environment and enjoys working across accounting, cash management, tax coordination, and investment reporting.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage accounting for multiple entities, including LLCs, trusts, partnerships, foundations, and personal accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close schedules.
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting and cash flow analysis.
  • Reconcile bank, investment, intercompany, and loan accounts.
  • Process accounts payable, wires, reimbursements, and recurring disbursements.
  • Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Coordinate with external CPA firms by preparing tax workpapers, K-1s, 1099s, and supporting documentation.
  • Record investment activity, including capital calls, distributions, management fees, and alternative investments.
  • Maintain organized entity records and support reporting for real estate and private investments.
  • Identify process improvements and assist with special projects related to family office operations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a family office, private wealth, public accounting, or real estate investment environment.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-entity accounting, including LLCs, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Archway or similar family office accounting software is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with discretion.
