This position is a senior, execution-focused HR role with full accountability for hiring across a private family estate. The mandate is results-driven: securing the right people, quickly and discreetly, in a highly confidential environment. This is not a process-heavy HR role. Candidates whose background centers on policy management, compliance, or HR administration will likely find this role misaligned.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for 10+ positions per year
- Own hiring velocity, candidate quality, and long-term retention outcomes
- Recruit for sensitive, high-trust household positions (including executive support, service management, and operations)
- Translate needs into clear role definitions, selection criteria, and decision frameworks
- Make and drive hiring decisions with urgency, discernment, and accountability
- Apply sound judgment in determining when to accelerate hiring and when to hold
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding and separation processes
- Oversee day-to-day HR matters and employee relations
- Maintain working knowledge of California employment requirements and risk considerations
- Engage external advisors or vendors when appropriate
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR leadership and/or recruiting roles
- Track record of direct ownership over hiring results, not advisory support
- Background in high-discretion environments such as private estates, family offices, luxury hospitality, or executive support organizations
- Ability to clearly describe prior hiring decisions, timelines, and long-term outcomes
- Strong judgment, independence, and commitment to confidentiality
