Senior Cost Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze material, labor, and overhead costs, including variances.
- Set up product costs in the ERP system using BOMs, routers, scrap/yield rates, and labor/overhead data.
- Ensure cost accuracy by reviewing and auditing ERP data.
- Support budgeting and forecasting through cost models.
- Analyze COGS and gross margins across multiple entities and product lines.
- Perform inventory analysis, including physical counts and reconciliations.
- Review balance sheet accounts related to inventory.
- Work with production to monitor efficiency, waste, and yield.
- Prepare cost of goods manufactured/sold reports.
- Assist with monthly and year-end close, including journal entries and audits.
- Track WIP, raw materials, and finished goods for accurate reporting.
- Recommend cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Help automate reporting and improve analysis tools.
- Document accounting procedures and support capital project analysis.
- Ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience within manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP systems

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
