Associate – Retail Investments


The Investments Associate will play a key role on the Investments team, working closely with senior investment leadership, including the Head of Retail, as well as the firm’s credit, legal, and asset management teams. This is a highly visible, execution-focused position for a seasoned investment professional with strong training in corporate and real estate finance. The role combines hands-on transaction execution, analytical leadership, and active deal sourcing, with direct responsibility for advancing investments from origination through closing. The Associate is expected to independently evaluate opportunities, lead execution efforts, and provide guidance to junior team members.


Responsibilities:


  • Underwrite, structure, and execute single-tenant net-lease acquisitions across the U.S. retail platform
  • Review and oversee financial models, assumptions, and sensitivity analyses prepared by analysts
  • Prepare and contribute to Investment Committee memoranda, ensuring analytical rigor and clear presentation of risks and returns
  • Coordinate transaction execution across internal teams, including credit, legal, and asset management
  • Support due diligence efforts, assist in negotiating key deal terms, and help drive transactions to successful close
  • Expand deal sourcing efforts by developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and principal sellers


Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, real estate private equity, principal investing, commercial real estate brokerage/advisory, or a related transactional role
  • Proven experience supporting transactions across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing through closing
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and credit analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of net-lease real estate, lease structures, and tenant credit underwriting
  • Experience preparing investment analyses and materials for senior decision-makers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Sound judgment, strong professionalism, and unquestioned integrity
