Build the backbone of complex construction projects

We’re partnering with a respected civil/site contractor delivering challenging, high-profile infrastructure and site development projects. This is a key leadership role for a Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of planning, field execution, and client-facing strategy.

You’ll be a core member of the management team—owning projects from preconstruction through closeout, leading teams in the field, and representing the company with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead planning and execution of civil/site construction activities to hit schedule, cost, quality, and safety targets
  • Review plans and specifications, develop work plans, and lead pre-construction coordination
  • Manage schedules, sequencing, and coordination across internal teams, subcontractors, utilities, and agencies
  • Be actively engaged in daily field operations—providing technical oversight and problem-solving in real time
  • Track costs, quantities, invoices, and forecasts; maintain tight cost control and accurate reporting
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, including submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and performance
  • Handle change orders, extra work, claims, and cost proposals with confidence and clarity
  • Prepare monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and executive-level performance summaries
  • Identify contract risk, evaluate exposure, and recommend mitigation strategies to senior leadership
  • Analyze alternate means and methods to deliver the most economical and effective solutions
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts for upcoming bids and negotiated work
  • Uphold best-in-class safety standards and maintain a clean, productive jobsite culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience managing civil and site work projects from planning through delivery
  • Deep understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and cost controls
  • Excellent communicator—comfortable presenting to clients, engineers, and executive teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytically strong
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal structure
  • Skilled at prioritizing, multitasking, and making sound decisions under pressure

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of CAD and construction management systems (e.g., SAGE or similar)
  • Strong grasp of scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and job cost reporting
