Leasing Renewal Specialist

Real Estate Owner, Operator, and Developer is seeking a detail-oriented Leasing Renewal Specialist to manage lease renewals for a 2,000+ unit portfolio. This role requires experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, DHCR, HPD, Section 8) and strong administrative, compliance, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process renewal offers for stabilized and market-rate units.
• Submit renewal/rent change requests to city agencies for subsidized tenants.
• Track and collect signed renewals on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records in Yardi for audit readiness.
• Respond to resident inquiries and internal emails professionally.
• Stay current on policies affecting renewals and compliance.
• Support property operations and facilities needs as required.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of lease renewal experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and Yardi or similar property management software.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, Fair Housing, and landlord–tenant regulations.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and deadline management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
