Administrative Assistant / Development Associate
A well-established, development and construction firm specializing in affordable housing is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Development Associate to join its team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and project support to the Development team, including preparation and management of development budgets, progress reports, and project documentation
- Assist in preparing applications for federal, state, and local housing funding as well as local land use approvals
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files for projects, subcontractors, and business partners
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and video conferences for the President and Executive Vice President
- Draft, edit, and manage communications and documentation with investors, lenders, government agencies, consultants, and tenants
- Prepare and track annual state compliance documentation
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in real estate, affordable housing strongly preferred
- Experience with NYS HCR or HUD programs, legal land use or construction contracts, or banking operations is a plus
- Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and virtual meeting platforms
