Senior Accountant - Family Office
Rapidly growing Family Office is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join its team. This role involves providing full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping services across a portfolio of clients, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial environments independently. Experience working with multiple clients or entities simultaneously is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Record and classify financial transactions across multiple accounts and entities.
- Execute month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), including consolidations.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing functions.
- Support cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and treasury operations.
- Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Prepare reports for clients, investors, and third-party stakeholders.
- Support tax preparation and financial audits through organized documentation and schedules.
- Improve accounting processes and systems, including chart of accounts and categorization.
- Assist with accounting software migrations or integrations.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and project support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with complex accounting structures (e.g., multi-entity or consolidated environments).
- High proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting tools).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with system conversions or process improvements is a plus.
- Prior exposure to professional services, family office, or multi-client environments preferred.
