Business Development Associate / Junior Wealth Advisor


Growing private investment and wealth management firm is seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven professional to help expand its client base while developing into a trusted wealth advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong business development skills who wants to build a long-term career in wealth management. Working alongside experienced advisors, you'll identify new business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, participate in networking and referral initiatives, and support the advisory team in delivering an exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, personable, and motivated by both relationship-building and career growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, centers of influence, and proactive outreach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Support advisors throughout the client acquisition and onboarding process.
  • Participate in client meetings, prepare presentations, and assist with financial planning and investment reviews.
  • Help execute marketing and business development initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and document activity within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with advisors and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Stay informed on financial markets, wealth management strategies, and industry trends.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, community organizations, and professional associations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in business development, sales, relationship management, banking, financial services, or wealth management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Interest in pursuing a long-term career as a Wealth Advisor.
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7, 66, or equivalent) are a plus but not required. Candidates interested in obtaining securities licenses are encouraged to apply.
