Assistant Property Manager - Commercial Real Estate


A commercial property management firm is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Assistant Property Manager to support a multi-property commercial portfolio. This role provides essential administrative, financial, and operational support to Property Managers, with a focus on tenant billing, accounts payable, vendor coordination, and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter looking to grow in commercial property management.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute tenant invoices, including CAM, property tax, and utility charges
  • Calculate and bill tenant utilities (water, sewer, electric)
  • Respond to tenant billing and accounting inquiries
  • Review, code, and coordinate payment of vendor invoices
  • Serve as a primary back-end contact for vendors and accounting
  • Support Property Managers with day-to-day operations and special projects
  • Maintain accurate tenant files, lease data, billing records, and reports
  • Track lease terms, deadlines, and compliance-related items


Qualifications

  • 2+ years in commercial property management, real estate administration, or accounting support
  • Knowledge of CAM and expense recoveries preferred
  • Experience with tenant billing, utilities, and accounts payable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with AvidXchange and Rent Manager (or similar platforms such as MRI or Yardi) preferred
